Random Bits

Here are some interesting items that haven't merited their own blog posts.

On a recent visit to Ripon Cathedral (back in October 2012, actually), they had an art exhibit from many of the local schools. The most striking was this mosaic of St. Wilfrid made by the children at St. Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School in Ripon. Great job kids!

The other day I went to the post office to pay the car tax. I arrived at 9:25 a.m. and discovered they weren't open till 9:30. A line had formed. When we were let in five minutes later, we each received a number and had to wait for one of the counters to be available. I received this number:

Last year's birthday cake for Mommy was pretty good. It had three layers with caramel sticking them together. The top was drizzled with chocolate and sprinkled with nuts. Yummy!  The candles make it look nice too.

Also back in October I was in one of the local book shops and noticed an interesting set of books on the shelf. All sorts of monsters had books about them!

Ghosts, Werewolves, Vampires, Al Gore!!!
